Revere Zoning Board OKs Wonderland Tower, 4-1
Zoning Board · Meeting of September 30, 2026
Revere Zoning Board approves scaled-down 16-story Wonderland tower, 4-1, over chairman's objection. The board found developer Wonderland Properties LLC, represented by attorney Nancy O'Neill, had made "specific and material changes" since a July denial, cutting the 1290 North Shore Road project from 358 to 334 units and 182 to 170 feet. Chairman Michael G.
Tucker cast the lone no vote on the relief itself after joining a unanimous finding on the changes. The board also unanimously approved variances for a Rand Street garage rebuild, a Washington Avenue apartment parking change, and a four-unit Porter Avenue townhouse, where resident Richard Adriani warned "emergency vehicles cannot make that turn" on the narrow street. A contested two-family proposal on Genesee Street was continued to October 28 after neighbors objected and a resident questioned whether city ordinance even permits a variance there.
